Whidbey Island in July

We took a fantastic day trip to Whidbey Island last July!  We rode the ferry and drove to Fort Ebbey State Park to take in the views of the Sound and mountains, and hike around a bit.  We also went down the to beach and explored along the shore during low tide.  On the way home, we found a huge, awesome wooden playground (built by a Rotary Club).  It was a great little trip!

Strawberry picking in June

We went strawberry picking for the first time last June at a farm in Carnation.  The berries were small but so tasty!  Maylee ate a whole bunch right on the spot (and the rest of us enjoyed some too)!  After we got them home, we ate a lot of them (including in a delish strawberry shortcake), froze some, and made a few jars of strawberry freezer jam.  Yum!

Father's Day

Jason requested a walk along the river (we call it the waterfall trail) and a visit to Krispy Kreme in the morning on Father's Day :).  Then I took the kids in the afternoon so he could do photos and relax... and we got some photos of our cuties with their daddy :).  We're so thankful for him... he's a wonderful, caring, and involved dad, and Ry Ry and Mei Mei love him so very much!!
