Cougar Mountain Zoo

We took a trip to the Cougar Mountain Zoo nearby in Issaquah in early June, and met up with our friends Lauren and Sara and her cute 1 1/2 year old, Blake.  It was great to catch up, and RyRy especially enjoyed feeding the animals (though he was a little nervous about it!), climbing around the animal statues, and seeing the zoo's Macaws do all kinds of tricks during the Bird Show.

Sharing and smiles

Rylan is having to learn to share a lot more since Maylee is into all of his things and often wants to play with her cool big brother's toys!  Here is a great sequence Jason captured early one morning in June...

Hey, I was just pulling up my chair to play with that!

Maybe I can shove you out of the way!

Mei Mei won't move!!!

Maybe I can pick her up and move her?

Nevermind, Dadda helped me find my other laptop and move my chair!

And Jason caught some more precious Maylee smiles!!

Woodland Park Zoo

We took a Sunday morning trip to the zoo in late May and had fun seeing the animals... we got to see the giraffes from pretty close as they walked across the path in front of us (behind a fence they pull out) to the feeding area... the giraffes and elephants were some of Ry's favorites.  Maylee just took it all in :).  It was a cool day so we spent some time inside at the Zoomazium play space... both kids enjoyed exploring and dancing and playing instruments during their Shake, Rattle and Roar music time.

My favorite animal!

Maylee cuteness

Some super cute photos from the end of May (Maylee was almost 12 months)...

Still loves smiling for the camera!

We can't even believe this one! She got into this pose all on her own!

Relaxing on some of my handmade blankets from when I was a baby :)

Mei Mei loves to play peek-a-boo

Hiding, hiding...

Peek-a-boo!

And here's a shot of Mei Mei and several of Ry Ry at almost 10 and almost 11 months.
I think they're looking less alike as Maylee gets older, but they still share a lot of traits and are both amazingly beautiful and perfect.
