More catching up from February!
Ry continues to love building elaborate lego planes :)
Sister and brother.... so cute!
We had several spells of very cold weather this winter! This is from one of the times when it was below freezing for several days in a row. We often go to the river close to our house to explore and throw rocks, and this time we found ICE along the edge! Maylee is holiding up a stick with ice on it in this photo.
Ice surrounding the rocks!
I happy to be able to help organize Chocolate Night as a fundraiser for our pathfinder club again this year (my 7th year organizing it)! These are the lovely ladies who were at the donation table. :) It was a really fun night, and a great success, thanks to all our pathfinder and church families who came to support us, brought desserts to share, and the others who helped organize it!
The chocolate fountain! I put this together each year with lots of yummy goodies to dip and it's always a hit.
Lots of desserts!
Jason brought Ry and May to eat some sweets and enjoy the night too!
Such excitement at the chocolate fountain!
It started snowing toward the end of the night! Rylan and Maylee were SO excited!
Rylan's teacher asked us to help our kiddos sign Valentines for all their classmates! We're very proud of Ry for writing his name on 20 Valentines! :) Writing still isn't his favorite thing, but he was willing to do up to three at a time, so we did a few each night for over a week.
He loves the Planes movie, so we got Planes valentines and included a chocolate heart in each one
And here's his bag of Valentines from his school friends!
Opening his Valentines :)
I got to work at Ry's school the 13th... Teacher Steffeny is opening Valentine's "mail" (parents got to write little love notes for their preschooler... so cute!)
Loving the planes at school too!
Heart marble art made at school
The kids had a blast playing in this little table tent
Valentine's skype with Grandmama and Grandpa Larry :)
Happy Valentine's Day!!
Rylan made me a Valentine! (with Jason's help) So sweet! :)
Maylee and her Sabbath School teacher both had on classic houndstooth jackets... so cute! (thanks Granmommy and Big Dad for this adorable outfit for Maylee!)
Being tickled by Jason with a stuffed animal bird
Just love Mei Mei's hilarious scrunched up face!
At the Pacific Science Center
Checking out a snail in the marine pool
In the dinosaur footprint!
Passed out on the way home
Mei Mei loves stacking these wooden blocks!
Sorting foam winter shapes (they are stickers too, double the fun!)
At their friends Bradley and Katie's joint birthday party at Wiggle Works
I hosted a "Little Blessings" play and fellowship time at our church for families with kids 0-5 years old and had a great time at our first event! We don't have too many activities for families with little ones, so this was a great chance for the kids to play and the families to get to know each other better (I'm also on the Family Life Committee). We're making it a regular event that will happen every month and a half. :)
Another of Rylan's creations is behind him... it's an elaborate blockade to protect his lego tower (you can see it in the middle below) from Mei Mei!
Say "Ahhhhh"! Getting ready for her dentist visit and reading a Maisy book about the dentist!
We had cupcakes and a special prayer as a celebration of the anniversary of Maylee's baby dedication at church :) (in front is the framed Bible verse that was the theme of the dedication service)
Play time with Dada!
Using tweezers to move cotton balls and practice fine motor skills
Foam space sticker art :)
Reading one of our favorites, "One Morning in Maine"... and excited to be going to Maine for the Meert reunion this summer!
Tea party that Ry set up!
Ladybug (beet) pancakes with blueberries for spots!
And apple slices for wings :)
Ry's amazing symmetrical towers!
A belated Valentine's surprise from the kids and Jason!! Rylan also wanted to get me a new speaker for my computer since we use it instead of a stereo (he asked Jason if they could get it after overhearing me mention it since my other speakers were dying!)... so precious and thoughtful!! I am one lucky Mama! :)
Another Valentine's drawing for me (with Jason's help) from Rylan :)
Alejandro love!
Fun with magnetic letters
And Maylee found all the letters to spell out her name!
Mr Handsome in his new jeans
One day I will miss the cute things I come back to when the kids have been playing near my computer :)
Putting together shape puzzles!
A massive lego cargo plane Rylan made
Maylee got into my cabinet of things in the kids room (which she knows is off limits) during quiet rest time (which we do now that she's no longer napping) and put a line of permanent maker on the floor... oh man. She gets into a lot more trouble than her brother did at this age! Thank goodness for Google searches... I was able to clean it up with rubbing alcohol and hair spray (who knew!).
SO adorable! Mei Mei loves her Daddy!!
Loving her special smoothie and snack from Jamba juice I got her one day while Ry was at preschool
Fun playing outside!
Sorting cereals for snack :)
Maylee was a star at her second dentist appointment (so glad! Her first visit involved lots of crying and didn't go so well!)
Making banana pudding with me for the first time :)
Showing off Skipper... he loves his planes!
