My turn to celebrate another year!

I had a fantastic birthday!!  We started out at Kidz Bounce... all of us love it!  I like to jump too, and you can't help but smile and feel like a kid again when you go there!

Just look at this smile! :)

Going upside down!

I requested just brownies for my birthday, since I love brownies and done so much baking, etc in September.  Jason decided he needed to do a little more... so he and kids made me a brownie CAKE!  Yes, two layers of brownies, with frosting in the middle and covering the cake.  It was delish!!

Yay! So happy to celebrate my special day with my family!! :)

Fun drawings and gifts from the kids!

Thank you to my family and friends who sent wonderful gifts in the mail!

More decorations directed by Ry and Mei Mei!

They each got me a bunch of daisies, which we made into this lovely bouquet!

We all took a walk to the fish hatchery since there were lots of salmon coming in, then they took off to play while I took some time to relax.  We had my favorite pizza for dinner and had a relaxing evening.  It was a wonderful day, and I felt very loved and blessed to be celebrating another year!

Jason's birthday!

We had great fun celebrating Jason on his birthday!!  He did a photo shoot in the morning, and was back later for cake (he requested an ice cream cake... I thought it'd be fun to make one :) ) and gifts.  He picked the Mexican restaurant just a short walk from our house for a yummy dinner.  He is an amazing dad and husband and we love him soooooooo much!!!

The kids told me what they wanted to do for decorations, and I hung them up :)

The kids made a card...

and I put pictures of them holding the card up in the frame (we put new photos of them in the frame every year :) )

Making the card/poster

The pictures above and below are in the frame :)

Ry wanted to make him a car of out Legos for his birthday.... so cute!

We love Daddy!!!

Yummy Mexican dinner

Yay!!  Happy birthday Jason!!

Birthday fun at our playdate

Since my mom and Larry were planning to visit us in late September, we planned a family birthday celebration for Rylan this year... his first one! (Maylee has had a few family birthday celebrations already.)  He wanted to celebrate with friends also, so we added some birthday fun to our weekly playdate with at our place on August 26!  We've been meeting with this lovely group of local mamas and their kiddos for playdates for almost two years, and they are wonderful friends.  Ry Ry asked for a "Planes" theme, and we did several of his favorite things... a treasure hunt, paper airplanes, playing on the playground, water shooters and of course cupcakes!

Getting the first clue for the treasure hunt (I made 3 simple maps for each team of 2 kiddos... they are holding the first map with directions to find the second map... then one more map and a treasure bag at the end :) )

Alexa and Elliott figuring out where to go next...

Katie and Braley running to the next map!

Thomas and Andrew found their treasures!

Found it!!

Glider planes from the treasure bag

We had a "dig for buried treasure"... and hid coins and little airplanes in the sand...so fun! (I borrowed the idea from Joanie who did this for Ellie's party in July :) )

They found every last coin!

An airplane from the treasure dig

Paper airplane fun!

Great shot Jason got!  She insists on wearing her glasses upside down, since she says they stay on better that way!

Loving the little glider planes!

Cupcakes!

So excited!!

Yay!!!! Happy birthday Ry Ry!!  We love you!!!

Yum!

Water guns and shooters!

Love all their expressions in these!  They had a blast!

We had a perfect summer day to play, and celebrate Rylan and the end of summer!
