Rylan is THREE!

Our sweet boy turned three on Sunday!!  We are so thrilled for him and can hardly believe we have a three-year-old!  He just gets more amazing every day.  It's fun to see him picking things up so fast now... he's recently been into rockets, space, and planets (after Daddy started talking to him about the Mars Rover), he is curious about how our bodies work, and is generally very interested anytime you explain things to him (how guitars work, telling time, etc).  His legos are still one of his favorite toys, and he still enjoys painting and play-doh. His favorite thing to do is get outside... he loves playgrounds, he's into T-ball and other sports, and loves his balance bike and tricycle.  Ry Ry puts his velcro tennis shoes on by himself when we go out, and he can put his shirt on mostly by himself too.  He still loves to make his sister laugh!  A few things we especially love about him now are his curiosity, his abounding joy at little things like being chased and tickled and hiding from daddy (every night recently between bath and bedtime, Ry Ry and I "hide" from daddy in his room before daddy comes in to put him to bed), and the sweet way he says "I love you" unprompted, often when we're snuggled up or reading or having fun playing.  It's priceless.  I was truly overwhelmed with thankfulness the night of his birthday, after the kids were in bed and I had a chance to think about Rylan especially... how blessed we are to have such a healthy, happy, amazing son.  Here are a few recent pictures of him (and birthday photos on the way soon)...

Hitting the football with his "duck" bat :)
